The second phase of voting is set to commence tomorrow in three key Lok Sabha constituencies of West Bengal: Darjeeling, Raiganj, and Balurghat, alongside 88 other centers across the country. In preparation, stringent security measures have been implemented, including the sealing of the West Bengal-Bihar border and heightened surveillance by the BSF along the India-Bangladesh border. Traffic between the two states has been restricted, allowing passage only for essential purposes. To facilitate smooth voting procedures, DC & RC centers have been established, witnessing an influx of polling personnel ready to be deployed to various polling stations.

The electoral landscape in these constituencies foresees a triangular contest between the BJP, Trinamool, and the Left-Congress alliance. In Darjeeling, the DCRC polling center at Siliguri College has become a hive of activity as polling personnel assemble and prepare for deployment to their designated stations after verifying EVM machines and other equipment. Similarly, in Raiganj, DCRC centers at Raiganj Polytechnic and Islampur College witness the arrival and deployment of polling personnel, signaling the readiness for tomorrow's crucial voting phase.
